Well, it seems, I may have blown the tweeter in one of my Neo112 cabs! Has anyone run into this? And....what was your recourse? Do I need to hollar at RAG? |

| | | | I have a GK Neo 212 and I've run the whole thing pretty hot at times, but using a 700RB-II w/ speakon cable. Not a problem.
C'mon, man; you gotta tell us how you're driving it before we can opine. So we get to hollar at you before you get to hollar at Mr. Gallien.

Brian and the rest of the crew are great. Just remember, you get more bees with honey. I will never play any other amp than GK.

| | | | Well, the key here is that the OP hasn't told us what amp he's using.
Seems a tad relevant, no?

I play R&B, Soul and Funk music. The woofers are fine. I just noticed I was getting no highs out of one cab (got down on my knees and listened to the tweeter in each cab). I slap a lot but I don't pop very hard but hey, you never know. Volume never very high. About 9-10 o'clock on the dial at most (those amps are loud) on the Markbass. On the Genz, Vol and Gain at noon and the master volume around noon. Tone controls never dimed. Bass at 1 o'clock and treble maybe 2 o'clock on both amps.
So these cabs have fuses/bulbs on the tweeters? |

You do have the full range/biamp switch set to full range and the level pad up right? If you have the switch set to biamp then the horn is shut off (only accessed through the 2+,2- by a G-K amp head and speakon cable in that position).

I'll pull the panel off tomorrow and report back. Thanks. |

Went to test my cabs to see which one had the tweeter that wasn't working and lo and behold, they are both working! Not sure what happened!
Anyway, I have 5 spares just in case! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
