GK RBH Series Tweeter

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I own a 410RBH and 115 RBH and I power them bi amped with the 1001rb. I noticed a few days ago that when I turned the woofers and boost all the way down and turned the tweeter all the way up that i got no sound from either of my tweeters. Is this because ive blown them? I believe im using all the right cables and i remember being able to play through just the tweeters at one point.

You don't have the "Hi-cut" switch pushed do you?

With no sound do you mean nothing? The tweeters are crossed over at 5k so you should not be able to hear much. I only get some fret clank and noise through mine.

Time to check your speakons, both ends, for loose connections (the 2+ and 2- go to the horns). Switch on both cabs set to bi-amp. Battery test the horns.

Play some recorded music through the cab. That'll tell you for certain.

I could never really hear if mine does anything either, but it really doesn't matter to me.

You need 4-wire speakon cable to use the biamp feature. Use either the cables that came with the cabs or get some ready made ones (or make your own). They're wired 1+ and 1- for woofer and 2+ and 2- for tweeter amp (so any standard 4-wire cable will do the trick).

That is a 2 pole! You need 4 poles and wire as in above post! Your horns are not connected, run in full range till you get the right cables.
