Is anyone using these regularly now? They seem to be even lighter than the Neo series. I just wonder if any low end is missing from the ultra lights. To me it seems if you can have a 4x10 that weighs 41 lbs it makes a 96 lb RBH cab obsolete, or even a 63 lb Neo cab. And definitely my 55 lbs avatar 2x10. |

The online retailers are listing an availability date of 7/30/10 but tallboybass is skeptical of that date.. I hope he's wrong, as I can't wait to get my hands on a pair of the 210s, but the more I check out the MB212 (the 2x12 500w combo amp) the more conflicted I get! |

Mr.Gallien himself said that all the newer stuff got pushed back because the combos are selling SO well.

Well he's certainly on to something because I'm itchin to pull the trigger soon and if those cabs don't show up then the mb212 might just be callin.. and it's $100 more than the 2 cabs.. |

Basic build quality of all our cabinets is the same. The MBE cabinets sound just like the comparable MB combo; they are smaller than the Neo cabinets and therefore have a little bit smaller sound. The MBX cabinets are full size and have a full range sound, but have a lower power rating.

| | | | Still no sign of these cabs on the major websites. My Avatar SB112 may have a speaker that is going out. Like I need another excuse to get GK cabs to go with my GK heads. |

I bought the MB210 combo from Guitar Center, and the 210MBE extension cab from Amazon. (It arrived last week.)
Being a noob, I can't give a very detailed review, other than it sounds great to me and is incredibly easy to move around and set up. It has no trouble keeping up at practice. We'll see how it does at a gig (possibly outside) next week.
So far, I'm very happy with this little rig!

The Neo cabinets horn is about 10lbs from what I was told and the crossover adds weight. In order to lighten up the cabinets, the MBE are not as deep as the Neo cabinets. Some of the NEO cabinets are 4" deeper than the MBE cabinets. Also the MBEs' have aluminum grills. The MBE cabinets are the same depth as the MB combos so they can stack under the combos properly. Both cabinets use the excellent GK drivers. I'm sure the MBE cabinets will perform well. |

Combo on top, extension cab on the bottom... they have interlocking feet which keep them together.
Those are short scale basses, so the rig is actually a little smaller than it looks in the photo.

no mention of a 1x12 on the website, but the 2x12 is 5lbs lighter than my avatar 1x12, and its only a couple inches bigger in any dimension. |

| | | | A stack of any 2 of them really. I can see 2x10 on 1x15, 2x12 on 1x15, a pair of 2x10s or 2x12s, how can you go wrong? All powered by the MB500. Light enough for your gramma to move it and enough power to peel paint off walls. |

....and did I tell you, Amazon has 2 of the MBE115s in stock (at this moment) for $225.00 each!!

What's it got going on that you think (2) MBE210s or (2) MBE212s would not?

I notice from the GK website that they're rated for slightly better sensitivity than the MBE210s, though they're also rated for higher power handling. Is cab efficiency the only important factor here?
