Gk1001RBII crackling and cutting out

I fired up my amp (GK1001RBII) this morning at band prac and it started crackling and cutting out! I checked all of the gain stages on my bass, pedals and the head, I tried putting a spare cable into the effects loop, I tried every cable I could get my hands on in a multitude of configurations yet the problem persists.

I've had problems with this head before, a few weeks after I got it the tweeter amp blew up mid prac and I was forced to put it in for warranty repair with GK, could the problem be back? It's not even a year old yet so I am quite concerned!

Clean your effects loop jacks.

And here's where we all hang out:

Should I just use a cotton ear bud?

I spray mine out with electronic component cleaner. I also found some black foam earplugs that I keep in the jacks, and the 1/4 output jack (since I run the speakon).
How about your bass itself? You probably checked already but, recently I thought my amp was acting weird. But one of my pickups was coming un-wired. Plug your bass in and, ya know, smack it around a little...does that make the crackle worse?

Tried wiggling the cable into the input jack? If the panel nut is loose it can cause an intermittent connection from the jack to PC Board.

Contact jason@gallien.com for a walk through or possible repair.

what kind of cabinet? is it also gk? look at your cabinet when you play. does it light up behind the speakers? if so, i had the same thing. it was the fuse in the cabinet, turn the knob on the back of the amp down.
