exactly...how do you use them? i have about 6 pedals...i plug my bass into tuner and go on from there...and then plug into the amp straight in the input.
should i use the FX loop??
and the tuner should go by itself into the tuner input?
and...you're gonna laugh...how in the world do i plug into all this if a want to use these dedicated inputs? i'm just used to plugging straight into a front end...never used send/return loop...
what's the proper way to input everything? help...do i need a diagram?
that's a lot of cords to plug... |

Most FX pedals are better going between your bass and the amp's input, but some may work fine in the FX loop, if they can take a higher input signal than just that from your bass; you will have to experiment and see what works.

the biggest sonic difference in running it thru the effects loop is that the effects will be getting the signal post preamp eq (and gain) instead of pre eq and gain, which can make distortion pedals and envelope filters sound/react differently. |

and...say i wanted to run pedals in the loop...which order do i run them as far as send and return? really, never done it before! just in case i just wanted to try it out...? send goes into first pedal in chain and then from last pedal in chain cord goes to return? which means my guitar would just go straight into the input? is that right? but then how do you also run the tuner sepperate and into the tuner input? wheeeew! is this right?
or just do it the way i was? hahahaha... |

Pedals are designed to do different things and they all react differently in different situations. Try it out and let your ears decide what you like best. Have fun! I have a 1001RB-II as my backup head and I don't use everything on it. Amp manufactures put things on amps to make them appealing to a wide variety of players, if you are happy with the way you have your set-up and you don't plug your tuner into the tuner jack, or don't use the bi-amp capabilities of the amp, so be it as long as you are happy! Cheers.
