The 800RB is a work horse and I will pick it over a SVT any day. Its cheaper and a lot better in my opinion. I use it more then I do my Eden tube head and Glockenklang Heartrock.
The 800RB paired up with an Ampeg 8x10 is crushing. Go for it you will love it. I paired mine with a 6x10 for awhile and now use a Aggie 4x12 with it.

Ran the GK 800 into one of my square back Ampeg SVT 810 cabinets for over 25+ years!
Still have the head...wish I still had the cab...

It has metal inputs which is a big plus and the new generations power transformer will go bad if you run it too long. Don't get me wrong the new ones are killer too but the old ones kick so much more butt build and sound wise in my opinion.

I also run a 4X12 filled with Carvin PS12s and it sounds awesome. Gives my GS412 a run for its money. I mounted them in a Carvin guitar cab. Shallower then a bass cab and when it hits its all over lol Super punchy and focused. Built my Carvin for $250 and worth every penny.
