so i jam with another bassist every once in a while & he uses the bands ampeg & the craziest thing happened on thursday.
so he turns the amp on & fiddles with some knobs & BAM the entire cab lights up. he shuts it down & asks if we saw it. we barely caught it so we weren't sure what was going on. so we turn it back on & it is working fine again & then he hits the HIGH button on the amp while we are all watching & the thing goes INSANE! now i'm talking every cone lights up like a christmas tree at the griswalds. each speaker looked as if it had a florecent bulb circling the speakers & it was very bright. i have never seen or heard of anything like this happening before. have any of you seen this light?

| | | | i am not gigging with that monstrosity. 8-10's & a 1500 watt head is way too much for me. my markbass works just fine & i don't have to pull a muscle to get it anywhere.

Blow that thing up at a gig and it will be a night to remember. |

| | | | well i believe it is only half of that. it has biamping capabilities. so i think it is 1500 when you run the speakon between the two internal amps or something. but it is not my amp & i don't really know about these ampegs since i never use it. i'm just curious.
