Good After Market Casters?

Sign in to disble this ad
Just got an Avatar B212. Only 56lbs but awkward to carry. My SVT-15E's casters seem to stop too easy on obstructions (like on not very big sidewalk section dividers). Can anyone suggest good casters or wheels that are really good. They don't have to be detachable. Thanks!

The bigger in diameter the smoother they will roll over obstructions; IIRC, the Ampeg casters are 2", right?

Here are some excellent options:

Go to your local Lowes, Home Depot, Meijer or whatever. They will be much cheaper there and will work just fine.

Yeah. They are 2". Thanks for the links. I'm sure I'll go with the 4" ones. You know how many times I've almost launched either the top cabinet or two Basses and the head through the air when the wheels abrubtly stopped? Too many.

Infinity 3.5" casters are what I'm using with slide out casters. The 2nd pic has the rear wheels removed for better monitoring in a tight space.

Check out the 3 1/2" casters on Harbor Freight Tools. Search 3-1/2" swivel caster. Just installed these on my bass amp case. The wheels have a 250 lb. limit. They work like a charm!

I actually want some for my cab also, but I already have a slot for the pop-out type. I know Earnie Ball makes some but they are only 2" wheels, and I would like something larger. Any ideas?
