| good bass speaker?

I just came by a Carvin bass amp and cab,I love it but the speaker was on the way out so my friend who owns a music store sold me a brand new 30 year old never sold never used brand new speaker.Its a Altec Lansing 15 inch well when I took the old speaker out it also was an Altec Lansing.Is this what Carvin used in theyre amps in the 80's? I thought they made the speakers in the amps they sold.My research shows this amp from Carvin was sold between 1982 and 1987 so maybe along the way the speaker was replaced.Anyway it sounds good I was just surprised that is was'nt a Carvin speaker.The new one is designed for bass and weight a good amount more than the one I took out |
