Good cab for ampeg b2re?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello everyone, for christmas I am getting an ampeg b2re solid state head and was wondering if you all could give me some good cab suggestions for it. It produces 450 wt at 4 ohms and 250 wt at 8 ohms. Thanks!

The amp produces the watts, and the speaker cab handles them. The B2RE has a reputation for being not very loud (compared to similarly-rated amps), so the best thing you can do is go for a very efficient cab. Really efficient small cabs tend to be expensive, so the more economical approach for efficiency is to go for more speakers in a bigger box. At least a 4x10, if not bigger.

hmmm..ok thank you, sorry about the wrong wording lol =) would a mesa boogie power house 1x15 do good? I thought about having that and a 4x10 later to make a rig? [This is technically my first rig because my old GK rig was broke when it arrived.

A 410 and 15 are not a good pairing. If you get the 15 and like it, best thing to do would be to get another identical 15. 2 15's would be great.
