Good Combo for a 5 String

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm thinking seriously about upgrading my amplifier soon and was looking for suggestions on a combo amp that would do a good job with handling a 5ver (BEADG).

I'm currently playing through a late eighties Peavey TNT (15" Scorpion speaker) that does an ok job, but what would I need n a combo to get tight reproduction of the low lows?

I'll have about $500 to spend upgrading the amp, any suggestions or opinions welcome. Thanks in advance.

This might be a bit out of your budget, but the elegant solution would be an "airhead" version of a fEARful 12/6.. just take the TNT head out and remount it. There may be other DIY (or have it built) options available as well.. PM me if you like
