Good Deal on SWR 350x?

I'm between amps right now, and wanted something smaller, either a combo, or a head and a 110 or 112 cabinet.

I have a chance to pick up an SWR 350x for about $220. It's in really good shape, and the guy has just stopped playing bass and is getting rid of all of his equipment. This is the last piece, so he is motivated to sell.

Is this a good deal on this head?

I have played GK, Trace, Eden, Euphonic Audio, and Phil Jones in the past, so I'm pretty familiar with high end sound. Will this head deliver?

I've had my Basic 350 for over 15 years and it's as solid today as it was when I first got it, and it has always made killer sound.

I have had a 350x for about 6 years now, and even though I just bought an Eden head, the 350x will still be in the rack with the new one. Although It only has 350 watts into 4 ohms, it has reliability, and the SWR sound to make up for it. You can usually find a used one for between 400-500, so for 220 it is in my opinion a good deal.

I've got a Bass 350 that I've had since about 1999. Great head. $220 is a steal for the 350X. I still like the older 350 better, but it's still a great deal.
