Good, decently priced 4 ohm 410 cab

Shoot some suggestions folk - needs to handle around 500 watts. I currently have both a Hartke VX410 (400 watts/8 ohms) and a VX115 (300 watts/8ohms). Both are rear ported and to me lack that big bottom end.
Even a suggestion for a high powered 8 ohm 4x10. On a bit of a budget though. Recently upgraded to an Ashdown ABM 500. It just has a little too much grunt for the Hartke speakers at high volume.
Cheers all.

Try to find a SWR golliath III to see if the tone works for you. They go for $400 used and can be found prettymuch anywhere with a bit of work

Definitely play with it before you buy it. It seems that SWR is hit or miss with a lot of players. I love them, though.

Great cab. Also consider used Eden D-410XLT or XST, depending on your favored flavor.

If you're on a budget, go used.

You can get very decent deals for great cabs such as all of those who have been mentioned before.

FWIW, I've gone from using a 410 (Ampeg SVT410HLF) to 2 X 210s (Eden 210XLT) and love the sound of my new setup. A lot easier to carry around, too, especially on small to medium gigs where one tilted 210 is more than just enough.

I have one of these and I love it, use it for any kind of gig from lounge to outdoor festival. Plus it matches nicely with a Marshall guitar rig!
