I'm pretty sure if I let this local baby blueline slip away, I'd be doing the wrong thing...
Runs 6146 still... original (never reconed) Alnico CTS speakers. Not a closet queen (re-tolex of the head looks like a first attempt), but it sounds bananas. So glad I've got modern rigs (small and medium) and a B15N all sorted out finally... hope I get to use this enough to keep from going crazy.
It's not all as heavy as I thought, either. |

- Yes, newer toggle on the front is standby. there were some mods done that have apparently been reversed, but prev owner decided to leave the stdby there for convenience. I'm pretty sure the last guy in there was Fliptops, and he'll likely be the next since I'm in his neighborhood pretty regularly.
-the E is an 05. Got it the day after Katrina. loooove it. I can buy an SVT w/ cab on my way home from the doc's office! |

Pain in the arse reaching around to flip the standby at the start of a set on a tiny stage when I've already got my bass on . That cab looks great too! I got one with casters added to the side like that too, I ended up taking them off and putting it on a cart but I'm still 50/50 which I liked more. |

It's kind of a shame that it's been re-tolexed. It might have been real cool looking with its original worn out tolex and grill cloth. But...whatever... play the hell out of that bad boy!

The blue knobs are going. I have an irrational love for bakelite, so on the hunt we go.... |

Jealous. Everytime I spot a vintage ampeg on CL it is gone by the time I reach the seller. I've wanted a V4 for ages. Also wouldnt mind a VT guitar combo. Those things sound like fricking sliced ripe mangoes taste.

It suits me fine on the front panel. I have enough to remember.
I fiddled with my old G&L SB tonight and it's sounding f'in beautiful. Ch 2 is working better for me right now, prly because I'm used to the B15 preamp. The straight back fridge has got to be part of it, too. |
