So, I went to GC and demoed a few today. Tried the Acoustic BA20 and the Ampeg BA-110 and BA-108. It came down to the two Ampegs. Both had their strong points but the BA-108 seemed a better choice. Good output for a practice combo and very articulate. For $99 you can't go wrong.

FWIW, I found it very useful before heading out to GC along with some other threads on the subject.
I'll go out on a limb and guess that BoyWithABass would agree.
