Good 'on Mesa..M9 on it's way home...

My M9 went down a few weeks ago mid-set. I thought it might be a thermal issue, but as it turns out, a mosfet went bad.

Just got the call from Calif. and here's what they've done:

Entire new power block
New "cooler" running transformer
Additional fan
New cover with additional vents

Fixed & upgraded under warranty. Can't wait to fire it up - c'mon UPS!

That's 1 reason why I bought Mesa.....

Cheers,

Third recent report of a bad mosfet. Interesting.

That's what I was thinking.

I was also thinking:
it's kick butt that they serviced everyone's problem up so fast, and completely.

That's what Mesa did to my M6... and they turned mine around in less than 24 hours.

I also think it a little odd that three bad mosfets have shown up, but, Jung said the universe is full of synchrony.

Just to be clear, my M9 has not actually had a problem but because it has a serial number under 100, I called Mesa and they agreed to perform the upgrades now while the amp is under warranty so that i can enjoy it for many years to come stress free!
