A good Monday morning giggle!

I've always loved the sound of the BagEnd S15X-D cab.
Loved them.
So, I just was checking out the bagEnd web site and I don't know how I missed it, but I don't remember see this (the far right):

A PAIR of 18's
AND a 410!!!!!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!
That would be FUN to play thru!!! LOL!!!!

I remember hearing and playing thru a BagEnd ELF system in the early 90's and it left me flat out stunned.

But good gravy!!!! a PAIR of 18's and a 410.....WHEW!!!!!

I can't imagine using an ELF system really at all these days with the multitudes of incredible bass cabs out right now. But I sure would still like one!!!! LOL!!!

I sure do miss the days of needing a few 410's or so to play clubs. (well, not really, but it did look DAMN impressive!)
Could you imagine the look on pretty much any sound guys face if you rolled in the 410, and then TWO 118 cabs....HA!!! Awesome!!!

honestly, the best bass sound I ever heard in a small club was an 18" and 2x10" rig. So Why NOT Double That!

Fun to see that again. That diagram has been on their site and in their brochures since the early 90's.

I gigged the small 15 stack (one 'x' and one 'non x') for many years. The port design was a little funky, but it sounded great with the old GK and Eden heads. Still sounds darn good!

Nice stuff... heavy though!

That ELF system results in the same issue (IMO) as the Bergantino IP's and the Acme's... sometimes, HUGE low end extension can be 'too much of a good thing' in a live mix IMO.

I used that same rig for a while as well Ken.
Why I got rid of it, I'm not sure as it sounded stinkin' good to my ears (then again, I've fired through so much gear in the last few years it hurts my head to thnk about it!).

I agree too much low end can just destroy a mix. I do sound as well from time to time (at one point, was doing sound more than gigging bass) and I would want to strangle bass players at times..LOL!!!

But still, that nice big low end is intoxicating!

+1 The Bag End stuff still sounds great, but they haven't revised their cabs in over 20 years now. A little 43 pound Bergantino HT112ER can pretty much smoke that Bag S15x-d now (I think around 50 pounds) in low end and even tone and max SPL. Things have come a long way since those cabs were designed, but I agree, they still sound great!

That's true, a lot of 112's could smoke those things.
But there is something sexy about a BagEnd oiled birch cab.....

Plus "back in the day" you were Mr. Big Stuff if you had a pair of those!
