I need a practice amp for practicing at my home without my mom yelling at me for it being to loud. I would like one $100 or less. I also need something lightweight because I take it back and forth to school alot. If youve got a suggestion please give it to me.

PS: I dont necessarily need effects on it but it would be nice.

Peavey micro bass.

These can be had for cheap, very light weight, durable and I think it's great for bedroom practicing.

I got mine off CL for $50. No effects, but you can add pedals.

+1 on Peavey Max. I got one for my son to use in his apartment. Very decent tone, portable, nice price, headphone jack for late night stealth mode.

I recently bought a Fender BXR 200 1x15" combo for $75 off of my local craigslist. It sounds great at bedroom levels. I will testing it with a drummer shortly... the real test is to come.

Yeah, a BXR200 or BXR300 can do gigs, too.

I recently bought an Orange CR50BXT CRUSH 50-Watt Bass Amp for practicing. It has a 12-Inch Speaker, Tuner, Input port for Ipod/MP3 and Headphone jack. I bought mine new for $250, unreal deal for all those options. Great little amp for practicing and it sounds pretty damn good. No regrets on this purchase.

Fender Rumble 15 V2. 15 watts, 3 band EQ, CD in, headphones out, 8" speaker. $99 new, well constructed. I like mine.

Is that thing loud enough to play with a drummer and guitard at practice volume for rock?

I have this and it is a surprisingly good little amp! I have practiced with it when my band has acoustic rehearsals (no PA for vocals) and it is VERY sturdy and sounds great.
