Good Replacement Driver for SVT-115E

Hey folks. I was given an SVT-115E cabinet that has no speaker in it. For the SVT-115E cabinet dimensions, volume, porting, etc., what would be a good speaker to put in the cabinet?

Whatever speaker they put in it at the factory. Why not email them and find out?

D'oh!...you guys are right. Should have thought of that first!

But for the sake of discussion, if that option proves difficult to find a stock replacement or it's cost is prohibitive, what would be good Plan B's?

I can't say, nor can anyone else who doesn't have all that information available. There's also the matter of the amp driving it.

I replaced the driver with Eminence Delta 15A in my SVT-15E. It sounded good, but sound a bit different compared to my other 15E. Maybe because the speaker wasn't broken in, or I don't know, but i like how it sounds.

More than likely it sounded different because it was a different speaker.

Eminence Legends should work but the best drivers were OEM USA Eminence's which you can't get anymore.

I had to state the obvious...it sounded like you were not very clear on why...

No assuming done here. You said it yourself "I don't know".

OK, I'll tally the "votes"." So far, two suggestions:

Eminence Delta 15A
Eminence Legends

Need to measure the inside, and an accurate measurement of the port. Hopefully Ampeg made it somewhat easy to change the port length, because box tuning will make a huge difference in what may/may not work. Without the numbers, making a suggestion would be a crapshoot at best..
