Got my GK MB500 to shut down...

First gig with my new MB500...

...And got it to shut down at the end of the first set. Granted, we were LOUD which is unusual for me (as a jazzer), but we were playin' all rock and punk tunes tonight and really rippin'.

Setup was: Stingray>GK MB500> Bergantino 1x12's (2).

I think the Stingray clipped the preamp and shut it down. It was down for about two bars and then came right back.

Gain at 12 O'Clock, and Master at 12 also. Engaged the -10db pad for second set, turned the master up and had no more problems.

When I have to wear earplugs, it's a loud gig. Not my normal thing. Other than that, very pleased with the tone and volume the little amp produces.

For those extreme situations, I believe the MB500 has a power amp limiting circuit that can be switched on. That should greatly reduce this issue when the amp is pushed hard.
