Great Cab Deal?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey I found a Hartke Transporter loaded with new BP102s locally for sub-$200, I'm looking for something to pair with my B2RE for math-rock. Does this seem like a decent deal, or should I throw down several hundy more for an ampeg? One thing I'm concerned about is volume, I bought this b2re before I knew much about amps, every thing I have read says they are underpowered. I would love to get into something cheap that I can beat up, but not if it's going to be insufficient. Any opinions?

I think pretty much any 410 will be able to keep up with a band. Assuming that you guys are not a crazy loud death metal band.

Nope we are mathy rock, we go from breakdowns to super ambient melodics.

Eminency BP102 speakers are very inefficient and require a lot of power and large internal cab volume. I doubt that cab would be suitable for those speakers, so try out the cab before buying if you can.

What is a better, more efficient option for my meager 450 watts? There is a carvin 810 and an ampeg 610 both in my area, both at 4 hundy.

id look into a higher powered head too... the hartike lh 500 and lh1000 are great heads for the money i will be picking one up with my tax return. but id go with the 6x10 only because its smaller then an 8x10 and will fit into cars better

I have a truck so size isnt an issue. I just got this head, so I really dont want to sell it already, is it going to be that insufficient?
