Great Rig. Now.. how to tune it?

Hey there guys,
I'm having a little trouble getting the sound I want from my setup. While it may seem a little mismatched to some folks; I know that I like it but it just needs a little help.

Here's what I'm running..

Spector 5 Rebop (EMG-HZ's) --I suspect that the pickups are the problem sometimes.

BBE Opto Comp compression pedal (I honestly, don't feel this thing doing anything anymore)

Ampeg SVT-CL (I'm still surprised that I bought an Ampeg)
SWR Goliath Senior 6x10

I have great technique and have almost always just gotten my sound from my fingers but now I really want to tailor a nice sound that I can identify with my band. I still run the amp mostly flat.

I just feel as if the eq on my Ampeg is not so extensive, thus there are frequncies that I cannot tune. I like low mid and mid. No clanky highs!!

What We Call Victory - Epsilon - YouTube

^^^ A sample of our music, if it helps!

Between The Buried and Me - Mirrors and Obfuscation - YouTube

^^^ The sound that I REALLY want.
