If I bumped the mids at around 2khz, would I get most of the grind that the 3012ho has? Im mostly a rock player and really like grind midrange and a bump at 150hz with the lows rolled off after 80hz or so.
Also, would using vents on the front/bottom of the cab give me even better low end coupling than side vents? The faitals look like pretty good drivers but, I wasn't sure if they would end up sounding too tame. |

Had an hour and a half conversation on that with the green one the other day. I have heard rumors of a Dually 212 as well.

His price isn't too far off from what Don would charge and then the difference in shipping evens things up big time. I really just wanted some info on the driver. I have a schroeder cab arriving today and a pair of Audiokinesis Hathor cabs that Im still waiting on. So, don't assume that I take someone's design and run to Don for a cheaper build. I usually go to Don because he is more flexible with the form factor of a cab, which is very imprortant to me. And, lets be seriouse, is a 2x12 with a tweet design that big of a mystery? Get real. The dually 2x12 design is kind of a backup to these other two cabs, which are both a bit of a wild card for me. The greenboy authorized builders all seem to be very polite and proffessional but some of the fanboys are not. Maybe I just need to finish my coffee. Sorry for the rant guys. Back to the thread and to answers. |

Back to the thread and to answers. | As I said, I really didnt mean to push your buttons. I just know that port tuning and design details have been a closed topic from greenboy recently. If you have interest in the Dually 212 and have been in contact with a AB, that is great. Design concerns would best be answered through them after they talk to greenie. I dont foresee there being any leeway with this design either. The plans have not yet been released so anything would be speculation at this point anyways.
My comment was more to say that this isnt the pace to hash out port tuning and design details of that kind of cab. There are better places to get more detailed answers on such a build.
Have that cup of coffee, if you are still riled later have a beer. Hell if you were closer I would say have one on me. Once again I apologize for any offense that was perceived.

The builder gave me some options so, I was thinking that there were official plans out there. And really, I was just wondering what the 12pr300 sounds like since there are already basic 12's floating around. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
