Guitar Center Story of the Day! DEAL!

So I was out of town visiting my girlfriend this weekend and decided to stop in at the local GC to get my four string fix.

Im always looking for deals, Id rather spend my money on an instrument than an Amp (have bought and sold almost 20 basses, never had an amp HA)...whenever i practice i either do it unplugged or through my stereo system...........

Anyways I always knew if I ever went for a rig I'd go GK. So im in the GC and I see a GALLIEN KRUEGER 1001RB MII brand new sittin there with a price reduction tag...the price was too good to be true and I was in a bit of a hurry so I played a Pbass and Stingray through it and decided to just take it (even though I dont have a Cab at all)

When I got home a couple of hours ago I finally figured out why that price was so good when I looked at my receipt...they had it marked it as a GK Backline 600.....

Got the Brand New 1001RB mark II for $249

The $500 you saved should get you a nice 115 or 210 cab to go with it!

Ignorance by retailers goes both directions; for all the complaints about GC not having knowledgeable bass staff, no one complains about glaring errors when they result in killer deals.

I once bought a new Stingray 5 string at GC for $750. They had put the wrong price on it.

Pics or it didn't happen!

But seriously, that's awesome. If it was a mum and dad shop I'd feel bad, but not in this case.

Here it is! sounds great. I asked for the original box but they said they had it so long the box was gone (but i bet they were talking about the Backline box, this puppy is brand new)

Would like to keep it, will probably flip it. I always pictured having a 410,115 GK rig. But ive always pooled my funds into instruments (kind of sad that I play unplugged or through home theater system when I can, but Im only 22 and dont really gig)
