Hard Slipcovers

I just had this hard slipcover built for my new Markbass NY804 cab. I've done similar ones for 4x10 and 2x12 cabs in the past. Not only does it protect the cabinet it also serves as a riser. It's also cheaper and lighter than a full tray case. The guy who made it for me has been building cases for around 40 years and has never done this for anyone else. I was kinda surprised to hear that as it works so well.

Nice indeed. The only case I ever had made was for my now gone GK 800RB.

Looks cool. I imagine that would also work very well for larger cabs that have their own wheels.

Cool. Also there's a Brit outfit selling on eBay that makes slipcovers with an optional pocket for a board to keep the driver from being accidentally stabbed. I guess a piece of 1/4" ply or even scrap paneling would work.

Might not work as well as an amp stand though.....
