I've blown the aluminum drivers in my Hartke 2.5XL cab twice now so I thought I'd play around with alternate replacement drivers. I'm powering the 210 cab and a 115XL with a Hartke HA5500 - or sometimes a 3500 - so I have plenty of power. Question: I'd like to get more bottom end out of the cab than the alum cone drivers get (the cab is ported and I play 5-string). It has a 5" for the highs so I don't really need that wide a spectrum - just the low end (~30Hz) and the ability to really move some air (long excursion cone)
Suggestions? I've looked at the Eminence line already but do you know of any other readily available manufacturers with 10" drivers that would fit the bill? Maybe the Hartke HyDrive 10"? Are they even available? |
