Hartke 2215 Combo vs Hartke KM60

I'm having a hard time deciding between these two amps, as I'm not sure if I should get a bass or keyboard amp for my needs. I never really heard the KM line either, so I'm hoping someone has some firsthand exp to help compare/contrast them.

I plan to try to use whichever one I get for bass, keys, drum machine, and elec guitar. I think my bass would benefit the most of all the instruments, as I'm least satisified with the sound I get out of the bass. Its an active pickup Douglas bass from rondomusic, which is like a Yamaha rbx 474 clone. Sounds really good for slap bass and brighter sounds, but lacks bottom/punch when playing with fingers for some reason.

I used to have a Hartke HA5000 w/ 4x10 trans cab + a 15" woofer and a Fender MIM PB, and would like try to get something closer to that sound with the Douglas and a new Hartke. The closest head to the 5000 I can afford is the HA2000, so I figured the 2115 w/ the built in 15" makes sense. I used to run keyboards, drum machines, and guitars through the 5000 and LOVED the results. With the 10 band EQ and HPF enough treble was never a problem, and the fat/punchy bottom was awesome on drums. But that was with 4 x 10's too.

I wanted to know if a 15" woofer alone could produce enough highs to get good results for keys/drum machine/guitar??

Or will it sound all muddy even with the EQ?

That's why I'm considering a KM60 too. I know a more appropriate comparison would be to a KM200 for wattage, but those are too expensive. With the keyboard amp, I could run my keys, drum ma, and guitar with no problem on the high end. And because the amp is designed to handle those low octave synth basses, I think my bass will benefit too. But having never heard this amp, I'm leary about how good it really is. I know the HA2000 is a great amp as its pretty much the same as the 5000 in sound, and I'm really interested in having that tube pre-amp back in my setup. But idk about the KM60.

Sorry for the long explanation, but I thought I'd give you all the details in my thought process. Basically it comes down to can I get good highs for keys, drums, and guitar out of the 15" cab? And if not, is the KM line as good of quality as the HA, being only solid state and more of a practice amp type set-up?

I've read nothing but 5 star reviews from users on the KM60, but you never know with those reviews, and I've yet to actually hear the amp myself. If anyone has a demo they can post, it'd be much appreciated, or any input. Thanks

btw, it's not for live use, I plan to mic the amp with an SM57 and do home recording.

For home recording, you can use pretty much anything because you don't need to be loud.

Thx, I think I'm going with the 2115. I think its a more professional level head, and I can always add a tweeter or a 10" later if I need some more highs.

Hartke says it's a frequency response of 40hz to 12khz, and that should be plenty enough high end for anyone.
