Its great I keep mine as a backup incase my lh 500 dies. It was my main amp for 2 years till I got the lh500. Id reccomend the lh500 its hybrid and only another 70$ with free shipping on amazon. but if you are short on cash the ha2500 isnt bad.

That is a good reliable amp like the LH500... My only complaint was the rubber booties always seem to disappear off the eq controls.

And, of course, you get world class customer service, including from Larry Hartke himself if its needed.

The 2500 is a solid workhorse amp. Built for a real gigging musician. I would agree though, if you can squeeze a few more pennies, the LH 500 is a great choice. The tube pre-amp stage is sweet!

I keep one for a spare and home practice/small gigs. Pretty loud little amp.

I had one for about a year in between an Ampeg B100R and a Mesa/Boogie Walkabout Scout. I played the pictured rig at a Fourth of July party outdoors at the local lake two years ago with no issues (it was 104F, by the way!). Plenty loud, useful EQ, lightweight. I put the head in a rack case. With the Transporter cabs (1x15 and 2x10) it was reasonably easy to move around. I had about $600 invested in the whole thing, which I thought was a bargain.
