For your reference:

http://www.samsontech.com/products/p...fm?prodID=1798

2 things to also consider........

1. The amp is 10 years old and "heavily gigged but never had an issue"

2. I've got to drive 2hours (4hrs RT! ) to make it happen.

TB your thoughts please.

Thanks.

great reliable head. I played on hartke back in the day. real work horse. 10 years should be nothin for those heads.

I have 3500 head that is about that age. The only problem it ever had was a fan replacement, which Larry Hartke sent me for free. Other than that - I've dropped this thing on concrete more than once (in the rack of course and by accident), and gigged the crap out of it. They are a good head.

I picked up a used 3500 to keep as a backup amp a while ago, and I end up using it to gig most of the time now. It's loud, reliable, easy to dial in a good tone, good DI. I use it through a VX215 cab that I thought I'd keep in the band rehearsal room, but the two sound good together. And since they aren't expensive gear, I'm not afraid of taking them to all kinds of places .

Where are you getting that head from? Two hours would put you in MD or PA. Im sure you could find one a little closer. With that said, its bulletproof for the most part. Do a search on here for pricing on used ones in the for sale forum.
