Hartke AK410 drivers

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Larry, what drivers are you using in the AK410 cab? Also, how is the horn mounted? If there are two seperate sealed chambers and the horn is in the middle, is it in it's own chamber so as not to allow leakage between the two woofer chambers. Im thinking a pair of these may be good for my old svt. Also, what ohmage are the individual drivers, 8 ohms?

I have an AK410. The drivers are Hartke branded, but look very similar to Eminence. They are 32 ohms. There is a notch in the center divider to allow for the horn, so the chambers are not completely sealed from each other. The cab is very well built, nice quality ply, and T nuts all around. IMO it is voiced very similar to an Ampeg HE cab.

ak410

Im thinking that the drivers in the ak410 are the same one's that eminence supplies for the ampeg cabs? Or, are they actually B810 drivers? I'd love to get a couple sealed 4x10's with horns to replace my old ampeg but there are none of these cabs for me to try locally.

The drivers look like the OEM Delta’s that a lot of manufacturers use. They are definitely not B810’s.

Thanks for the info pal! I think that if I ever replaced my 8x10 with anything else sealed, it would have to have the 8x10's in it. They really do sound better than the stock drivers. I can't speak about the hartke though. You never know how oem drivers have been tweaked. They may rawk! I wonder if they have the same top end as the b810's?

cab

Get over the symantics guys. Im an electrical tech and know the difference, just a mistake. Anyway, does anyone have a clip of their AK410 cab? I'd love to hear it with the tweet off then on. An also to see what different treble settings sound like with the tweet off.

cab

Is the AK410 well stuffed with insulating material on the inside? I haven't heard much about these cabs still. Wonder why?
