Hartke HA 3500 vs Peavey Tour 700?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi there.I have none possibility to try them both and i know it is going to sound a bit stupid, strange - whatever but i need your opinions. The LMS offered me to swap some of them for my present combo due to repair warranty.I know it is a "blind shot",i know that i should hear each one but i can not .I play with Yamaha precision bass and Spector Legend 5 if that helps.I am open to other brand suggestions as well.Price range is not much than 650$ - i do not want to spent more money by this moment.
Thank you very much

When I bought my first stack a year ago, I was torn between the two amps as well. I tried out both amps, and decided to go with the Peavey. It will come with a standard 5 year warranty (if purchased new), and it sounds great! I have an Avatar 212 (8 ohm) so the amp is only pushing 500 watts. It got plenty loud for me in a loud hardcore mix, and the tone was amazing. The eq is pretty versatile, but I find the 'kosmos' feature useless.

I'm now running the Tour 700 through an Ampeg 810e with a Euro Spector LX 5, and I love it. The amp is a very clean amp, and sounds great with the Spector growl.

Even though I'm a huge Peavey fan, I'm going to give this one to the Hartke LH3500. For that price range (new), the tone and versatility just can't be beaten. The Tour 700 isn't bad but it always seems to have one sound that I find very emotionless. Great bit of power and loud, though.

Hey man. I just bought that same head and I have the cab coming. What kind of settings did you use to get a good tone? Im nervous about it since I didnt get to try before I bought.
