Hartke ha2500 effects loop questions

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey All

I connected my pedal chain to the effects send and return for the first time yesterday based on some advice that was given to me from questions I posed in the effects forum. I really liked the improvement of the sound but because I have not really used this loop before I want to make sure I am not putting my amp at risk. The chain goes like this:

Effects Send - Digitech X-Series Bass Synth Wah - Zoom B1 - Hartke VXL Bas Attack Preamp - Effects Return

Then I of course plug the bass directly into the ha2500 passive input. Playing a 2008 Standard Fender Jazz with the original passive single coils, not sure if that is relevant.

Does anyone see any risks involved here? I didn't really crank it up too loud as I was at home when I did this.

Any and all input and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's fine, though the effects loop on most amps are designed for line level effects, like rack mounted gear, not instrument level stomp boxes. But, if you like how it sounds, that's all that matters.
