It's an XLR DI output? If so, does it have a level control? If it's not obvious, you need an amp tech.

There is no user setting on the HA3500 that can be set wrong which would prevent a signal from getting to the DI. Any setting that could do that (i.e. the preamp levels) would also prevent any sound from getting to the speakers as well. My first guess is a bad XLR cable, second guess is the PA's channel was muted. A quick and dirty way to check the PA cable and signal path is to put a regular microphone on it (i.e. SM57/SM58) to immediately see if the problem is with the PA or the amp.

Apart from a loose connection or bad jack inside the amp, the only active component that might cause the XLR output to fail is IC104 in the older MOSFET models or IC106 in the newer bipolar models. Both of these are a 5532.
