Last night a band rehearsal my amp started to cut out. It would reduce in volume, almost to nothing, stay like that for a 1-2 minutes then come back to life.
Here is my signal chain last night: Schecter bass(active)>Sansamp BBDI>HA3500>Hartke HX410
This started the first few minutes of practice,(as I was warming up) here is a list of what I did.
At first I thought it was the power strip so I plugged into a different outlet, the amp worked for a couple of songs then started to cut out again. At this point I checked the fan and touched the top of the case all was good.
Next I turned off the tube pre and just ran the SS pre, same problem, it worked for a couple songs then started to "lose power" then come back to life.
So next I removed the Sansamp and ran straight into the head, same problem as above.
The head I bought new about 1.5 years ago, the cab is new, about 2 months old, the bass is a 06 model, and the Sansamp is one of the original models. The Sansamp was plugged into the front of the amp.
What do I try now????, will a bad tube in the pre cause this, even though I turned it off at one point?
I'm at a loss here, I'm afraid my amp is, crapping out on me.
Anyone????? Larry?????? help!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a cab here at home so I have been playing for about a 1/2 hour using the effects send as a headphone input, no problems at all. So maybe it was the FX loop? When I'm plugged into the FX loop it bypasses the EQ, LPF, HPF, and the master volume, so I know that both Pre's are good, that just leaves the power amp, or dirty FX loop like RickenBoogie stated.
