Hartke HA4000 blown resistors
Hi, My HA4000 blew the fuse next to the kettle lead last week, when I replaced to fuse, the amp turned on as usual, but the protect light would not turn off. When I opened up the amp I found that 2 resistors were blown. :crying:
I need some help identifying the resistance rating of the 2 that I have blown. The numbers are R302 and R303. If anyone can help or advise on how to figure out the rating, I would be very, very grateful.
Sounds like you need to talk to Larry. Give him a call. :)
Resistors rarely just "blow". They burn up because too much current has been passed through them; typically, that means shorted output transistors and/or drivers.
So, unfortunately, that means you have bigger problems. Time to send the amp to a tech.
Damn, was afraid that would be the case. allright, cheers guys, i'll seek out a tech.
