Hartke, Hartke, or Peavy Heads?/ SWR, Peavey or Hartke Cabs?

So looking at buying my first stack. I've taken a look at a few heads, and cabinets and was wondering what your guys opinion of these bass amps are (Note: prices are Canadian, and currently Canadian dollar is worth 1.05 US dollars)

Hartke - HA5500 - $560

Peavey - Tour 750 - $569

Hartke -LH500 - $459

Also any suggestions on Cabs for each of these? I've tried:

SWR - Goliath III

Peavey 410

Hartke 410 (the aluminum ones)

A little about me. I play bass in a Power/Prog/Thrash Metal Band. I like high bass, high mids, and almost zero treble. I also am not a fan of the distortion or effects some bassists use. I like a standard clean sound with some rumble. I have a limited knowledge of technical lingo for Amps and such, but I'm in the process of learning more on the lingo and how to work with various tones, and controls.

I'd go Hartke HA5500 plus the matching Hartke 410. With 1 box you will be putting 350 watts into an 8 Ohm 400 watt box and when you get a second box later, it will work out to 500 watts into 800 watts of speakers and then you are ready to tour the world.

If you're going to go with the Hartke LH500 you should go with the HyDrive series cabs...those are made for each other. I play the LH1000 through the HyDrive 410 and love the sound of it. Somehow I don't think the price you have listed for the LH500 is right, because it runs $399 USD.

I have the same rig, the LH1000 into a single HyDrive 410. The head was $499 at Sweetwater, the cab was $599. This combination means volume, punch, crispiness, tightness, awesomeness. I've had it for about 6, 7 months and it's great.

Canadian Prices are just starting to come down but have yet to catch up with the value of our dollar. That was a typo above also. It was 459, not 559.

I have to agree with the LH500. I have one, driving 2 HyDrive HX112's, and they are made for each other.
In your case though, the HA5500 has a graphic eq, so it may give you more tonal variation for your sound. The beauty of the LH500 is it makes my P-Bass sound like a P-bass, only better. I've never played with a HA5500, but it seems to be designed for lots of tonal variation. I had Peavy gear for many years ... that's why as soon as I could I bought Hartke. Just my opinion.
