Hartke HX112 and Gallien Krueger 700 RB: Is the cabinet ready for GK's Bi amp???

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

I am in a doubt in buying a Hartke HX112 cabinet. I have a GK 700RB head and I don't know if the cabinet is ready to get the high frequency from the high frequency amp connecting them through GK speakon cable so I can take advantage of the Bi amp feature from the head.

Thank you very much for your comments.

Maybe wait a few weeks...give it some time..it'l be ready before you know it.

Seriously though.
With my 1001 that I had, I just used a standard cable for my swr410.
I believe the GK speakon is different and isnt for use (or perhaps doesnt make "use of" the amps full potential )with all cabinets...only the GKs.

Please correct me if i'm wrong somebody.

.

It only works with GK cabs that are equipped with a tweeter. But, not to worry, just use a normal speaker cable and run full, range. It'll be fine.

But it will give me the crystal-clear tone that I need being in full range with my GK head?

Thanks
