Arrow Hartke Hydrive 210C.. Tech Newbie...

I just bought the Hartke Hydrive 210C yesterday. The amp is ABSOLUTELY amazing, especially with my Sterling Ray34. The tones this amp can get are unbelievable.

?????My question is, it appears that the Hartke Hydrive 210c amp does not come with a headphone port and I mainly practice at night. Is there any special equipment that I can get that will allow me to use headphones with this amp?????? I was reading something about DI ports into a mixer or something but I dontknow all the ins and outs of this stuff.

The back panel has "Direct Out" "Aux In Left, Right" "Effects Send and Return" "Footswitch" and "Speaker Output"

P.S. If you can be pretty specific... (and I'll post pics later of my bass and the amp... And maybe write review... Thnx

The direct out is for going into a PA, or mixer. Get a small 4 channel Behringer mixer, get an XLR cord (I believe that's what they're called). Then plug the head into the mixer via cord, and headphones into whatever channel you're using on the mixer. Simple solution.

Lots of people complain about no headphone out jack on heads these days, me included. I have a Peavey Tour 700, and my only complaint is that I can't use headphones straight from my head.

larry hartke is a righteous bro, and like me, he comes from an era where pro-level bass amps don't bother with extraneous stuff you don't need like headphone jacks. however, it's a new era, and most of the latest generation of micros come with headphone jacks. to me, it makes way more sense to have a headphone jack on a micro since a 25-lb bass amp is not exactly something you'd want as a practice tool. i'm absolutely sure that's larry's logic as well. but i guess times are changing, and we'll be seeing more headphone and mp3 player jacks appearing on larger amps. just don't look for it any time soon.
