My USA KB 15 is clearly marked 115v 60 cycle. No built in conversion switch.

It's likely to be the 50/60 cycle AC that presents the biggest problems for an amp/pre-amp. Most voltage converting transformers won't help with that. 8-(

If you go to Samsontech.com click on the Hartke products then click on one of the Hydrive combos go to the pdf file at the bottom of the information page on the unit click on the link to the pdf and check it out. It states on the back of the 250 watt combo head ( this head is in the 112C the 115C and the 210C ) that it will as long as you have a converter adapter for the end of you U.S.A. plug because it shows both voltages 110v and 230v right over the plug area. Here is the link to the Adobe pdf file from their website go to page 8 and at the top of the page viola:

My bad. I engaged the keyboard before my brain was in gear. Here is a link to the Hydrive Manual; http://s3.amazonaws.com/samsontech/r...ombo_OM_v1.pdf

The rear panel is marked 115v 2 A, 230v 2A on page 8. Perhaps the 50/60 cycle isn't an issue?

Thanks heaps for the replies and links guys!
By Adapter, do you mean just the power chord and its plug?
what regulates the voltage?
is it just the fuse you need to change?

yes, just the plug end adapter so your odd Aussie plug can fit into the outlet socket where you are heading ... AND the fuse change, so your amp won't self destruct.

The voltage switch is auto-magic!

I think you will find the fuse is rated for 115v & 230v. A spare fuse is always a good idea.
