Okay, not a commercial.
I set my LH500 and HyDrive 4X10 cab up in the new studio last nite. Set the tone nobs all to 8 and put the compression on.
I could not believe how accurate the tone of all my basses sounded. My new Fender Jazz bass plus sounded exactly like you would imagine. Both my Kubicki's were pure heaven. Even my Peavey G Bass, which through a lot of rigs tends to sound very trebly, was pure bass.
I was also surprised at all the nuance I was getting out of my vintage Danos.
So, to sum, Hartke rocks. This amp just continues to exceed all my expectations.

Dunno about the HyDrive stuff, but I know the 4.5 & 2.5 XL cabs are nutty good sounding as is the Pro2200.
Glad a Hartke endorsee really loves their gear!!!

I currently own a Genz Benz 3.0 and I love the amp, but I'm needing a LOT more power. It's coming down to a decision between either the Hartke or a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.
The Hartke is a lot heavier - but it's also about half the price as the Shuttle 9.
Have you ever contrasted those two particular amps before?

philip, i haven't had a chance to ab the lh500 and 1000 out of the same cab, but i've played them both, and you can get similar sounds out of each as far as i can tell. can't tell you how it compares to a shuttle 9 but i have a lot of respect for both companies. both have top notch cs, both make killer but different products.

I've tried out a few Hartke cabs with both aluminum and paper cones and the aluminum coned boxes sounded awful with distortion while the paper coned boxes lost definition but sounded better than the aluminums. |

LOVED the 2.5XL cabs I had.
And the few times I had the 4.5's as backline on fly-in gigs, I was very pleased.
I dunno if anyplace in town (Detroit area) has any off hand.

I'm gonna need to lug a couple basses to the music store and try one of these out.

I have the 1000 and the HX410 but I cannot lug the LH1000 around it's too heavy. I know that sounds a little nit picky but I have a bad back so I wanna go lighter on all my gear aka cabs heads etc... My Cirrus basses are light already so I am good for basses.

I haven't been happier than the meaty distortion tone I get out of my 410xl and 215xl. But, my 410 alone doesn't have the warmth that the 215xl has. I have been playing around with the idea of getting another 215 and stacking them on their sides. But I'd never be able to fit them both in my car. I ride with the 410 in my passenger seat as it is. 215 in the back and rack, pedal board and basses in the trunk. Thanks Hyundai!
