I am thinking about getting one of these and a 4 ohm 8X10 cab. Any opinions? I also plan on trying my RBI in front of it.

Both sound pretty darned sweet, with the Ampeg being the better sounding of the two. I don't know much about the RBI but from time to time I will run my VT bass with mine and it sounds awesome. I have also read a little on here about guys swapping out the stock preamp tube to a mullard to get a fatter sound, of which I haven't tried yet. |

Do you run the 1000 bridged at 4 ohms through the Ampeg?

If I ever have my two 810 cabs under the same roof again I actually would like to run an 810 off of each channel to see how it sounds, just for fun and laughs. One rig at the practice space (LH500), and one rig at the home jam room/gig rig (LH1000). |

I also use a Hartke Hydrive 115 @ 8ohm 500 watts I unbridge the amp for that. I don't know if that is the correct way or not but I like it.

I was never to crazy about the Tech 21 with my LH500. I want to try the new VT pedal. My Hartke Attack pedal is cool, but I hate how in bypass mod the EQ is still active. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
