Hartke LH500 and 2 cabs?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm trying to figure out how to get a higher wattage amp so i can compete with the guitars in the band I'm in. I'm looking at getting a hartke LH500, but don't know if i can use my 2 hartke VX 4x10 cabs. The 2 cabs are 8 ohm impedance and 400 watts each.

Yes, you can use both cabinets with the LH500. The LH500 is 500 Watts at 4 Ohms, so both of your cabs together equals 800 Watts at 4 ohms.

That should be a killer sound with the two 4x10's.

If you can afford it, get the LH1000. $200 more for double the wattage is definitely worth it. You can get an amp rated at more power than the speakers - just listen to the speakers for cues when to turn down. (Speakers fart, sound distorted, cones start flapping and so on).
