Hartke LH500 and 410 Hydrive enough?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey tb! So I just found a gorge used Carvin fretless 5er. I've been playing a 4string Cort... It sound meh... Really noisy.

My question is this: will my 410 cab (Hartke Hydrive 1000) be enough for the low b? I plan on taking full advantage of my extra low end... But should I wait on buying? Or should I get it and trade my current cab/buy an extension 15"?

Thanks!!

I have the LH1000 and Hydrive 410. I have my Peavey Cirrus 5 tuned A-D-G-C-F and the cab handles it like a champ. I've been pleasantly surprised at what this cab can do all the way around. So IMO, yes this cab can handle the low B.

Yeah played this at Samash a week ago and it handles the B pretty good without any distortion... BUT just know that the Hydrive seems to lack a very deep sound unless you boost the bass up, more so than other cabs.. But the clarity on these, especially on the low notes, is excellent.
