Hartke LH500 Bass Head

Alright so I've been in the market for a while now looking for a quality bass head at an affordable price. I was originally completely against anything that wasn't ampeg, but after searching everywhere, I just wasn't satisfied with any of the cheaper heads they had to offer.

After that I was looking into getting an ash down head, but after reading the reviews I could tell that reliability was a big issue with them and I didn't want to deal with that.

Eventually I started looking around to other companies and that's when I came across this Hartke LH500. The price is real low, and it puts out 500 watts, not to mention I've read a lot of good reviews on it.

Here's the deal though, while it has good reviews, I am not positive how punchy/grungy it can get. I play through an Ibanez Soundgear bass, ampeg 6x10, and would be using an mxr m80 as a preamp through the hartke along with other pedals to help out.

I'm looking for a Chris Squire/Lovedrug bass tone. If you know anything about these Hartke's just let me know! Thanks alot
