Hartke VX215 Tweeter- Remove?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have this old cab and want to remove the busted tweeter- it rattles when I play! Can I just cut the wires that connect to it, or do I need to disconnect the crossover? I'd have to spend a minute and learn how to do that.

I'm hopefully putting a couple Kappalite 3015s in it down the road.

Thanks...

Disconnect the crossover and wire the 15's straight up to a jack. Leave the disconnected tweeter mounted in there just to plug the hole so it doesn't throw off the box tuning for the 15's.

Did the deed last night, stowed the crossover in my parts-drawer. Thanks for the info Will33; and have some fun with those umlauts!...
