Has anybody tried the "New Acoustic 360"

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm sure a lot of us have heard about and probably seen the new Acoustic 360's on the internet. They sound like cool amps. George and his team took the same great look and did a complete overhaul on the inside. I do believe he sent some out to stores, has anybody seen em'?

That's what I though at first. They have gone a complete overhaul. I don't think it's worth the $8,000. Why pay that when I get 4 rigs of the "Real Deal" at the same price.

All I can say is they are proudly made in the U.S.A. in VERY small numbers. If that appeals to some good for them. Cheers.

I just talked to George myself. They are just bringing the first 5 out in the next two weeks. Talk to him for the details.

And they are definately not even close to 8,000.

No. You got that wrong. Actually they are being BUILT by elves - the ones that left the North Pole when their hands became so arthritic it took 'em more than 12 months to build a footstool. Santa was patient. But he had a business to run.

Most of us who have been following this journey for 3+ years and have talked to George are STILL waiting....

The last I heard he was looking for a company to provide shipping crates....

As many of you know who follow these threads, I was a big proponent and supporter of George's. Early on, I had planned on acquiring one of the 360/361s, but after endless waiting and delays, I gave up.

There are too many companies out there who are building new and exciting products to spend a great deal of time waiting on amps and cabs that are "3 months out".

Hopefully we will all be surprised this year - but I wouldn't hold my breath

Jeez, with Marc Serio of Dr (Doctor) Bass infamy on the Acoustic 360 team the excuses could mount to new levels of stupendousness! He needs to get hired as a consultant at least!

Or maybe he already has been.

So will this mean that GC won't carry it's cheese-ball "Acoustic" line anymore?

Those "cheese-ball" Acoustic amps are great for the price. I love my little 10w practice amp

Yeah, I've heard people who are happy with the larger "cheeseball" actually-in-production and affordable Acoustics too - other than the weight. I'd say that business model has some merit.

I think that's my point - until this fellow and his vaporware mystic "Acoustic" amp come out and buy the name, it will remain the brand we all know now, carried at GC.

Let's see if I have this right: T-shirts. T-shirts. T-shirts for a brand that he doesn't even own.... Well, it's easier to make T-shirts than amps... so maybe folks will actually see THOSE, unless they're vaporware too!

I really hate it when people "loose it". They really need to eat healthier.
