Has anyone here sent an amp to Peavey for repair?

I have an old Peavey amp (Combo 300) that needs repair. There are no Peavey service centers near me, so I was considering pulling the amp chassis out and sending it to Peavey for repair. Has anyone sent an old (out-of-warranty) amp to them? What can I expect with regard to repair time, price, communication, etc.?

If you have experience, please share--thanks.

I haven't but my wife has. She owns and rents ( beats the snot out of) out several small PV mixers for DJ / karaoke / corp function stuff. She's dealt with PV corp for service several times and has one in their shop right now.

She loves them and their pricing.

Oddly enough I have a combo 300 in need of repair as well. Nothing urgent but would like to have it as a spare. I normally take my stuff to Wizard Electronics in Atlanta but am curious to know how this works out for you.

I work in a shop that frequently sends gear to Peavey to be repaired. They do a good job for a fair price and have a decent turn around time. They treat individuals the same as they do a store front too. You should be good.
