Has the TB-1200 changed?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've seen old threads stating that the head weighs 48 lbs and handles 600 watts @ 4 ohms. Looking at the specs on their website, it says that it weighs 34 lbs and handles 800 watts @ 4ohms. Does anyone know if the design has changed?

It is the shipping weight.. I have one here in my studio,,, it is NOT 48 pounds.
The spec on the TB1200 amp says its:
550 @ 8 ohms
800 @ 4 ohms
1200 @ 2 ohms
In using it as a power amp only, i have NEVER lit the clip light.. I believe the ratings that i posted. It is loud.
I use mine at times as a power amp section with my Genz Benz Streamliner 900 as a preamp when i have to run a 2 ohm load. As when i run two 810 cabs..
I would love it Genz made a Streamliner 1800 that could do 2 separate 4 ohms loads.. That would be great!

Wrapped up? Nah. Just poking around... slow day on TB and all that and trying to snide-ly tell people that they aren't using correct terminology.

Don't you have to handle something before you can deliver it?

Why yes, you have to "handle" the power from the mains to amplify the signal.
