Have any of you tried the new Peavey Headliner Head?

Hey Guys,
I know I have seen less than favorable reviews of the Headliner cabs. Has anyone tried the amp head? 600 watts for $350? Just curious.
Brent

I can't say I was too impressed with the series when it came out, looked to me like a re-branded Tour 700, albeit the lighter weight. Even the same chrome on black finish, with an added "crunch" and compressor. Also, wasn't happy at all that the 600W rating is not marked RMS, but Maximum Lightweight Class D Power?

I like the Tour series and find they do a pretty good job getting a nice and usable tone, but I don't think there's much special about this head. Remember, I haven't played this (yet, local store is a carrier and might have it when I go in sometime next weekend) and this is all impression and IMO!

600w is marketing ****. It's 300w continuous at 4 ohms. BbbyBld (Peavey MI engineer) posted on this:
Peavey Headliner Class D amp.

Power is probably not much different from some of the "500w" ICEpower micros.
