Having problems with my bass amp

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently bought a bass amp used on cl... a carvin 115 and 210 along with a Peavy tour 450. I brought only the 210 to my friends to jam, left it there for about a week, then brought it home. I immediately noticed a difference... it would hiss sometimes and wasn't NEARLY as loud as it had been before.. I checked out the back of the cab and it read "200 watts". Does this mean I blew the cab with a 450 head? If so, what steps can I take to fix it?

If it played fine for you and a week later it doesn't........who played it way too loud before you came back for it?
Could also have had a wire come loose from one of the 10"s in transport. Even if the amp head has a 1000 watts available, if you only turn it up loud enough to use 100 watts that will not blow a 200 watt cab!
